Amber Benson bio

Amber Benson is an American actress singer writer director and producer. Her most well-known work is her part as Tara Maclay on the TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer and she has also produced and performed in her own movies Chance as well as Lovers Liars & Lunatics. She also starred in the movie Kiss the Bride. Benson was born on January 8, 1977 in Birmingham Alabama, daughter of Diane Benson and Edward Benson psychiatrist. She has a younger sister Danielle Benson, who works as an artist. Benson, whose father is Jewish and her mother a Southern Baptist was raised in an Alabama Reform synagogue.
