The same year she launched the album she titled Know It All, the track Scars to Your Beautiful ranked at the Billboard Hot 100 as well as the Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200. Alessia Cara has been a Canadian musician since 1996. Her parents are of Italian origin. When she was 10 years old, her parents bought her a guitar, which was the beginning of her musical passion. She began to cover her favorite songs when she was thirteen to show the world she could sing and had the confidence required to become the next singer. Indeed one of the covers Sweater Weather ended up getting her noticed by a record label called EP Entertainment which allowed her to compose and record the songs.
