In 2001 Barton made her film debut in Lost and Delirious, an independent Canadian production based on Susan Swan's novel The Wives of Bath. Barton along with her co stars Jessica Pare, Piper Perabo had mixed receptions. Barton also appeared on the screen in Julie Johnson (2001) alongside Lili Taylor and Courtney Love playing the daughter of a woman involved in the midst of a relationship between lesbians. Barton was also as a character in Tart (2002), an uninvolved drama about a teenage girl with Brad Renfro & Dominique Swain. Comaneci was married with American Olympic Champion Bart Conner in April 1996. They have their son Dylan Paul. They have a variety of gymnastics related businesses, such as Bart Conner Gymnastics Academy. Comaneci serves on a number of charitable boards that include her position on the Special Olympics International Muscular Dystrophy Association Board of Directors and Laureus Sports For Good Foundation. She also continues to donate cash and time to a variety of organizations, including her involvement with the Nadia Comaneci Children's Hospital located in Bucharest.
